Editorial Policy

How we research and publish cost information for a health and financial decision—without overstating what an online calculator can know.

Effective and last updated August 4, 2026

Our central rule is simple: a budgeting estimate must never be presented as a diagnosis, treatment plan, insurance determination, financing offer, or clinic quote.

Purpose and audience

We help US consumers understand the components of dental implant quotes and test broad budgeting scenarios before consultations. We do not diagnose, recommend treatment, rank clinical options, or replace a dentist who has examined the patient.

Source hierarchy

We prefer US government agencies, regulators, university dental schools, professional patient resources, and primary financial guidance. Clearly scoped public fee examples may calibrate a range, but they are never relabeled as a national average. Proprietary datasets are not scraped or republished.

Numbers and uncertainty

Every cost range is treated as a model assumption unless an individual source explicitly states otherwise. We publish the model inputs, adjustment factors, exclusions, financing math, review date, and update history on the methodology page.

Clinical-review disclosure

The launch version is researched and written by the ImplantCostCalculator.com editorial team and has not been clinically reviewed by a DDS or DMD. We do not use “medically reviewed” labels, reviewer schema, credentials, success claims, or diagnostic language without a real qualified reviewer and a documented review.

AI assistance

Automated tools may assist with drafting, calculations, quality checks, or source organization. Editorial responsibility remains with the site operator. Every published calculator rule, link, limitation, and factual claim is checked against the documented source set before release.

Corrections and versioning

Substantive changes to ranges, formulas, sources, or safety boundaries are dated in the methodology update history. We correct broken links or factual errors without silently representing an old model as current. The year in a title is updated only after the underlying content is reviewed.

Commercial independence at launch

The launch version has no paid provider listings, sponsored rankings, financing affiliate links, or sale of visitor leads. If those models are introduced, commercial relationships will be disclosed close to the relevant link or result. Payment will not buy a false clinical endorsement or alter the published calculator formula without disclosure.

Publication checklist

  • Search intent is answered before conversion prompts.
  • The calculator result is visible without an email gate.
  • Sources support the exact nearby claim or model decision.
  • Prices are labeled as examples or model assumptions.
  • Medical and financing limitations are visible, not hidden.
  • Structured data matches visible page content.
  • No fabricated reviewer, rating, testimonial, or credential.
  • The page, links, math, and mobile interaction are tested.
